Answers to the questions I get most. If yours isn't here, scroll down and ask me directly.
“SKAY-dah.” You're not the first to ask.
Nope. Everything is tracked by the email you enter, which is how My Schedule finds your stuff. Volunteering has a quick one-time sign-up (email + a 4-digit PIN) so you can claim shifts and vouch for others.
Hi, I'm Rayhana. I built SCHEDA to make event scheduling less of a headache for everyone. I used AI tools while writing the code, but every design and administrative decision is mine. Using the site doesn't involve any AI processing of your data or interactions.
Yes. Your email is stored securely and never shown publicly. Only your SCA name appears on rosters. If you'd rather not appear at all, choose to hide your name at registration and you'll show as “Anonymous attendee.” You still hold your spot and still get all your confirmation emails.
Find it in the catalog, click Register, and enter your SCA name and email. That's it.
Yes! Check the anonymous option when registering. You'll show on the roster as “Anonymous attendee” but still get your confirmation email.
Join the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you'll get an email.
Yes. Open My Schedule, enter your email, and hit Cancel on the class. No hard feelings.
You'll get an email, and it'll show as cancelled in the catalog and on your schedule. Nothing for you to do.
Some classes run on Zoom. They're marked in the catalog, and the link comes with your confirmation email and on My Schedule.
Yes, you'll get a day-before email for each day you have classes, all in one message.
It's where you request classes you'd like to see taught, vote on other people's ideas, and request an encore of a class from a past event. Teachers get a friendly heads-up when there's interest.
Click My Schedule and enter your email. Classes, waitlists, and volunteer shifts all show up together.
Yes! There's a Print button right on the My Schedule page.
You pick a 4-digit PIN when you create your volunteer profile. It does two jobs: logging you in to the volunteer page, and vouching for another volunteer's shift. Keep it somewhere you'll remember at events.
Scan the area's QR code, or have any other registered volunteer vouch for you with their PIN. Either works.
Scan the posted code when you arrive to check in, and again when you're finished to check out. SCHEDA matches you to your claimed shift automatically.
No worries! Your shift closes itself at its scheduled end time and you still get full credit.
Grab any other registered volunteer who saw you working. They punch in their own PIN to vouch for you.
Completed shifts earn tickets toward event raffles. Shifts we really need filled may earn extra.
A few shifts need sign-off before you can claim them. The claim window tells you who to contact, either the shift lead or the Volunteer Steward.
Yes, tap the heart on any shift and use the Jobs I Like filter to see just your favorites.
Hit Teach a Class in the navigation and tell us your topic, description, and availability. We'd love to have you.
Yes, there's a time preferences field. The steward makes the final call based on rooms and slots, but preferences genuinely help.
Check the class listing. Most instructors note materials in the description.
No! Use Teach Again to look up your past classes by email and pre-fill a new submission, bio and photo included.
Check your spam folder first (it happens more than you'd think). Still missing? Message me below.
Nine times out of ten it's the email. Make sure you're entering the exact one you registered with.
Send me a message and I'll get back to you by email. –Rayhana
